The FAAM PTA is looking for candidates for the PTA officer positions for the 2020-2021 school year. The Nominating Committee's goal is to enlist the talents of as many FAAM parents, friends, and family as possible.
Officers will be elected at the PTA General Membership Meeting on May 12, 2020. Officers serve a one-year term and may be re-elected for a second one-year term. If no interest is shown for a position, the PTA Board of Directors may waive the two-term limit for a current officer. Newly-elected officers will begin their terms at the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
President: Coordinates the work of officers and committees, presides at PTA Board and General Membership meetings, and works closely with the Principal.
Executive Vice President: Aide to the President. Oversees the Awards, Communications, Hospitality, and Programs Committees and Volunteer Coordinator.
Vice President of Fundraising: Oversees and coordinates all fundraising initiatives.
Treasurer: Responsible for all PTA funds and maintains accurate books and records. Authorized to sign on bank accounts. Presents a brief financial report at monthly meetings.
Secretary: Attends all Board and General Membership Meetings and takes minutes. Maintains all official records. Responsible for overseeing PTA Membership Drive and Student Directory.
